Meet licensee and businessman, Kashaka “KK” Scott, an Atlanta area native and 1988 graduate of Columbia High School in Decatur and a graduate of Georgia State University.
Scott remembers with fondness how Atlanta locals and business professionals use to network and socialize at the old Paschals restaurant. He wants to bring that feel to the JR Crickets Lounge combined with a new (neo) vibe.
In agreement with his vision is his business partner Dennis Mason, a businessman from Cleveland, Ohio. Mason saw this place as a need for the neighborhood and a meeting place no matter the day or night.
The atmosphere will be eclectic with a bar, entertainment, live performances, movie screenings and other social activities. The lounge will offer a destination for those who want to relax and have fun throughout the day and into the night.
Decorated with a hanging sound-system and large projection televisions, the walls are painted in safari brown, with fans circulating the air while customers enjoy JR Crickets signature meals.
KK’s wife Precious Anderson-Scott, an Atlanta lawyer, likes the location because it serves the community and offers it a real neighborhood lounge.
The address is still the same, 2348 Cascade, but that is it. We look forward to the Cascade patch readers and the JR Crickets Lounge long relationship in this neighborhood diamond. Thank you KK, Precious and Dennis for allowing this glimpse into what you are bringing back to the neighborhood . A social place that we can call ours.
